IGT to provide PlayDigital solution to Veikkaus

The partnership allows the operator and World Lottery Association (WLA) member to have access to IGT PlayRGS and its PlayCasino content, through the supplier’s PlayDigital solution.

The PlayRGS remote game server installation includes maintenance, monitoring, and support, along with access to the complete library of IGT PlayCasino content.

As well as now providing a single integration to an array of slots and poker games, IGT also provides Veikkaus with its PlayBingo digital bingo solution, core lottery central system, sports betting, and land-based slot machines.

PlayRGS is currently supplied to fellow WLA members such as Svenska Spel, Norsk Tipping, and Danske Spil.

Veikkaus casino games VP Jan Hagelberg, said: “This solution ensures that Veikkaus can offer the games players want while responsibly growing our digital program to serve our players with the best customer experience and safest online casino available.”

IGT PlayDigital SVP Enrico Drago added: “By adding our powerful PlayRGS solution and player-tested PlayCasino digital content to its offering, Veikkaus is re-affirming its status as one of the most technologically advanced operators in the world.”

Earlier this month, IGT announced a deal to sell 100% of its Italian B2C sports betting, gaming machine, and digital gaming businesses for €950m ($1.15bn).

The deal allows IGT to reduce its debt, with net debt standing at $7.24bn as of 30 September, as its Q3 revenue fell 15% year-on-year down to $982m.
